Cheshire Roar Out in the Community This Summer
It has been a busy summer for Cheshire Roar, with the club getting out into the local community and introducing basketball to children and families across Chester.
Our summer activities included community events in both Blacon and Handbridge, giving young people the chance to pick up a basketball, have a go and enjoy the game in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Community engagement has always been an important part of Cheshire Roar. As a club, our aim goes beyond simply competing on the court — we want to help grow basketball locally and create more opportunities for girls and women to get involved in the sport. It was fantastic to see so many children joining in throughout the summer, including many trying basketball for the first time. A huge thank you to everyone who came over to say hello, took part in the activities and supported the club. We are looking forward to doing even more within our local community throughout the coming season.
